Breathing Practice

Your breathing can help you become embodied.

Do not change how you breathe.  Breathe naturally.  The only change you make is: relaxation.

Quiet

First section of breathing practice

Let your breathing become quiet, inside and out.  Listen to it: physically it should be soundless, internally it should become effortless and quiet.

Deepen

Second part of your breathing practice

When your breathing becomes quiet, it also naturally deepens.  Let it and your thoughts drop into the Lower Dan Tian.  All the organs become soft for the diaphragm to move.

Lengthen, be at ease

Third part of your breathing practice

As the breath deepens, it lengthens, and you can take your time and be at ease.  This is when you can inhabit your body with your mind, and notice and release all tensions.

Regenerative

Fourth part of your breathing practice

As your body becomes at ease, you can put your awareness fully into it and release tension everywhere in the body, including fascia, sinews, organs.  This releasing of tension will give you a deep regenerative comfort.

Silken Softness

Fifth part of your breathing practice

Advanced practice - when you have managed to loosen tensions in the body, the softness of it will feel like silk.
